The Worship Pastor will be responsible for the execution of our worship service. This person is to bring spiritual and musical excellence and to ensure that the spiritually authentic atmosphere of Genesis Church is maintained. As a pastor, this person’s role, as a part of the team, is to encourage, challenge and help others grow spiritually. In addition, this person is going to know how to have fun and be a team player!
Responsible for all worship
Developing and raising up new talent
Coaching and mentoring various worship leaders serving throughout the church
Diversity of music styles as we reach people of various cultures and backgrounds
Integral part of the pastoral staff
Part of the creative team meetings for services
Recruiting, training, and maintaining a volunteer worship team
Instilling a standard of excellence and a spiritual intensity in the worship team
Oversee the multi-media department
Scheduling worship volunteers utilitizing Planning Center
Directing the band in worship rehearsal
Being available for pastoral ministry as needed
Carrying leadership and pastoral responsibilities

Coordinate Middle & High School Student Ministries(Grade 6-12)
Identify, equip,and lead a team of volunteers to effectively minister to students at Ovation.
Provide oversight for the planning of our monthly EVOLVE Student Night.
Meet regularly with adult leaders. Assist and encourage team members in vision and skill to perform their roles as leaders, ensuring quality and relevance.
Work with adult leaders to identify and train student leaders. Establish relationships with students and train other leaders to do the same.
Vision and Strategic Planning
Develop, communicate,and implement a vision for student ministries that is consistent with Ovation’s overall vision and purpose.
Plan and develop weekly Small Groups for students.
Establish relationships with other Christian youth ministries within the area.
Oversee the coordination and implementation of curriculum, youth meetings, planning meetings, fun events, and youth community outreach.
Develop and maintain a master calendar of all Ovation student ministry events.
Publish scheduled events through various media platforms.
Character & Conduct Qualifications
Leads a disciplined life of daily fellowship with God and Bible study.
Exemplifies Christ-like character in personal life, family relationships, finances, and ministry.
Desires to grow both spiritually and professionally.
Has a genuine heart for the local church, specifically youth and their families.
Shares faith passionately with unbelievers.
Remains free from addictions.
